If you’re just starting out, the prospects of purchasing a full set of clubs can be daunting. There are a tremendous variety of clubs to choose from and the cost of clubs can easily reach into the thousands of dollars. However, pre-packaged golf sets can often be purchased for less than the cost of buying the individual clubs.

Used golf sets can also be found through a number of sources. Golf courses commonly sell off used sets as they purchase new ones. While these are generally not “pro level” clubs, they can be a perfect way for the beginner to get started.

Discounted golf sets can also be found, if you know where to look. Many pro shops will sell last years models at a significantly reduced rate in order to make room for newer models. These sets can be a great way to get a quality set of clubs at a reasonable cost.
