Golf Clubs

Golf clubs, as well as a proper swing, are the most essential part of golf. Having the right ones can greatly affect your distance and accuracy. With the variety of clubs on the market, making the correct purchase can sometimes seem a bit overwhelming for the novice.

The rules state that a player is allowed 14 golf clubs on the course. Traditionally, golfers will pack a putter, a driver, two to three wedges (usually a pitching wedge and a sand wedge), and two or three woods. The rest of the bag is usually filled out with an assortment of irons.

The driver and other woods are used for teeing off and for long fairway shots. Irons are generally used for fairway play exclusively. A putter is only allowed on the green
